Pictured are some of the members of Connected Threads with a selection of the items they recently donated to the Washington and Pittsburgh women’s shelters.
Every Thursday a group of women gather at the Slovan building of Burgettstown Presbyterian church at 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for Bible study, fellowship, and to make afghans, scarves, hats, slippers and dish cloths for women in shelters. The group, Connected Threads, is open to all women in the community who would like to knit and crochet items for the shelters. All supplies are provided, and basic knit and crochet lessons are also taught to anyone who would like to participate.
The group does not meet if Burgettstown schools are canceled or are on a two hour delay due to weather. Contact 724-947- 5165 for more information.
